I am Vic Ruiz, an avid photographer with a vision of bringing beauty to the people side of photography, covering fashion, portrait, studio, and events.
Early in life, started out photography mostly taking photos from my point and shoot camera, then from my cell phone. In 2017 I acquired my first DSLR camera, Canon Rebel T6, learning the world of digital photography.
In 2020, at the arrival of comet NEOWISE, I got into astrophotography and have since taken several photos of the Milky Way, Moon, Sun, and other astronomical objects in the sky. I also do landscape photography and have recently opened an Instagram account dedicated to beautiful temples.
Instagram accounts I run are:
Astrophotography (@astrodynavic)
Landscape and architecture (@vicruiz_photos)
Temples (@vicmruiz.temples)
I’ve been in the engineering world for the past 10 years, having earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Utah, minoring in Music. I then went and earned a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from Utah State University. I served as president of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as a historian, taking pictures, for various organizations such as Sigma Gamma Chi fraternity, Latino Student Union, and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.
I also play the piano, violin, and viola. I’ve played solo violin for weddings and events, duets and string quartets, and played for large ensembles.
Looking forward to taking you along on this beautiful journey to bring the best and beauty in photography and looking forward to working with you.
